I am American from Washington State and have been traveling with the teaching jobs for a few years now. Came from Egypt in February, 2013, to see if Bulgaria was a good place to retire. I think it is, but now my 90 days are nearly finished, so will return to Egypt briefly. After that,I will return to the states to begin the dreaded process of the D visa application. Wish me luck!

Please tell me what to look out for in buying property in Bulgaria. I have an agent, who is also a lawyer, and speaks good English. He seems very reputable but how can I know? Anyway, would appreciate any info you could give me. Thanks. Mary Read More
