I am originally from east coast but have lived and own a home in La Jolla CA for the last 25 years. Moved to Las Vegas in 2011 to eliminate CA state taxes which are now 13.3% - highest in US. When Obama raised effective tax rates starting January 1, 2013 I decided it was time to move permanently out of US. After about 6 months investigating new tax laws (Act 20 & 22) enacted by PR on January 17, 2012 decided that it was time to move. AS of March 15th, I became a permanent resident of the Ritz Carlton Reserve Residences, Dorado Beach, PR.
