About
I am 65 years young, and after doing law for 35 years, losing my job due to the collapse of the Housing Market and starting a new career with the NHS and loving it. I am also a volunteer on the cancer ward of our local hospital
I lost my wonderful husband 7 years ago. We visited Tasmania six times before he died and I have wonderful memories and we were hoping to move to Tasmania but sadly this was not to be. I have been 5 times since then and have a love affair with this beautiful island and also the mainland.
The thing very close to my heart are the wonderful Tasmanian Devils and I just love them to bits. I went out twice last year and held a baby devil at Tasmania Zoo in Launceston.
I am so concerned at the plight of these private and shy (contrary to popular belief) little animals that I have written a book for the Zoo in order for them to be able to raise much needed funds into vital research. I hope by joining you, word can be passed about the book so that people will purchase it.
I have also joined this forum as I love to meet people and make new friends. I love cats and have four, I belong to a poetry forum.
I believe in taking one day at a time as life is precious and hope to make the most of each minute of each day.
I have a great sense of humour but can be serious an am a good listener. I hope to travel to New Zealand where my son is living with his family, so will make sure I visit my second "home" Tasmania whilst I am there.
Interests: writing poetry, stories, pets, travelling, home and friends, eating out, gardening

Hi l3ene Wow this is a difficult one but here goes. I am assuming you are both living in Australia at the present time. First of all is it possible to renew your Viza for Australia? If so this would give you more time to make a decision as to ... Read More
