Hi! My name is Rebecca and I've just recently (end of March 2013) moved to Palermo, Italy from New Zealand. I met my now boyfriend traveling around Europe in 2011 and he lives in Palermo - hence the move... a little crazy as I don't speak Italian and at the moment have no work lined up. Basically, I decided living in Italy was an opportunity that is likely to only pass you by once in life, so have taken the plunge! I left my job, which I love, as a sports lawyer and am hoping to be able to get involved with some international sporting federations while I am here. That may be a dream result though - I'm really willing to try my hand at anything that may be available - teaching, nannying, working in a cafe... First thing is first, I need to learn some Italian! I am also really keen to meet anyone else living here or who has lived here in the past and can pass on a few tips!!
