French Canadians expat since 2009, we are happy to live in Mexico. Unlike cities located by the sea, here in the mountains we have a spring climate all year round, which allows us to live there all year round without suffering from extreme heat. As we are ''Mountain Lovers'' we decided to settle in a small colonial town in the state of Michoacan (central Mexico) called Patzcuaro, a peaceful village perched 2250 meters in the mountains. While maintaining a peaceful lifestyle, we have interesting daily activities all around the village and the community of expats living here gives us the opportunity to meet interesting people. We like the geographical location of this place because we are 4 hours by car from the seaside or the great Mexican capital 鈥淢exico鈥�. So a short weekend at the seaside doesn't require a lot of preparation.
