Salve! (Hello), I traded in my hometown St. Louis Cardinals baseball cap back in the U-S-of-A for a Borselino and now hang my "capello" in the City of Palladio -- Vicenza -- in the Veneto region of Northeastern Italy. A veteran print and broadcast journalist, with well-worn passports that have gotten me in and out of 42 countries and counting, I'm inspired by the beauty I find in all things that are very, very old, including myself. I enjoy reliving history, or at least meandering around cobblestone streets that were laid down over a thousand years ago and just looking up and marveling at what occupies the space still today. That's what really gets my "Vespa" running. I'm a credentialed journalist with the International Travel Writers Alliance (ITWA), host the eclectic online travel/food-and-wine/photography blog ThePalladianTraveler.com, and I'm a regular contributor to Los Angeles-based travel publication TravelingBoy.com and Rome-based ItalianNotebook.com. I have a creative eye behind the lens and I'm a pretty good storyteller. I'll be keeping my camera batteries well-charged, the notepads filled, and my dispatches and photos flowing from my creative hideaway in the City of Palladio.
