being Irish and being surrounded by young Americans. What a laugh, great banter with the girls especially ... it's the Irish accent, you see .... and my own charme au naturelle. I particularly revelled in how Americans would react after realising that they had been duped by my (very realistic!) American accent!
O-H-I-O gets C-O-L-D in the winter! lol

I visited Volgograd during this sojourn. What an exciting place! My most exciting holiday, to date, to be sure, to be sure!
In Volgograd it gets over 40C even in early summer, June. This nearly killed me, it really did!

Occupation? Why, student of course! Hey! come on! I mean, what else, right?!
I recall travelling through England by train for the first time. It was in early October and the dawn was approaching. Aaah. Those lovely red-brick Victorian bridges and viaducts and the neon building signs juxtaposed against the rising autumn sun....... Just before leaving England in June 1995, I saw a flyover of the RAF with that red, blue, etc coloured smoke coming out of the back of the jets. Grrreat! And as for London .... well,now .... the stories I could tell you ..... :-) But I won't. You see, they're my little secrets. Just for me :-) And I simply cannot recommend the city of Bath enough. A fantastic place, with great things to see (a real Roman bath, for example!). There are many places of historic and cultural interest that I can recommend. Cross the border into Scotland, but before you do, check out London, York, Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare, remember?!), Swansea, Cambridge and many others.
