About

I would be coming from Michigan. I am a retired school psychologist/counselor and want to do community service in Thailand or Cambodia. I have been to Cambodia two times and was deeply moved by the vision of damage the US inflicted on the country, the resiliance and warmth of the Cambodian people, and positive attitudes despite the pain they have suffered at the hand of Pol Pot. I have always worked with youth including traveling with student ambassadors all over the world. I am artistic and enjoy writing, photography, art, and music. I have always trusted the kindness of people in lands where we did not speak a common language. I will volunteer to help in any way I can.
Interests: photography, Travel, community service

As I read some of the remarks and critiques I am concerned that many who visit or move to Thailand expect life to remain as they knew it back in their native countries. I love Thailand for its own culture, language, and passion. Expats could do well ... Read More

required income for Cambodia by timvv

I plan to move to Cambodia in the next year and will be living on a modest retirement of just over $2000 per month. Having no nest egg in savings will that monthly income meet requirement for income that the government sets?

timvv

I am interested in someone's answer to this. I don't intend to return to the US once I make the move, but want to know if this might be a problem for the government there. Read More
