Hello everyone :) I am a 26-year-old from Brussels who has just arrived in Amsterdam. It's been 3 weeks now and I'm lucky enough to be with my friend who is from Amsterdam (but whom I met while working in BXL).. He doesn't speak French at all and I don't speak French at all :) We've been speaking English for 1 year so.. He knows how to get transferred (again) by his boss and works even harder than before. And I admit that since I arrived here I haven't spoken French to anyone (apart from my cat.. :/!) since I don't know anyone else and I don't work yet... which is already starting to weigh on me... So, there you have it, I found myself here initially hoping to have some advice and good tips from an administrative point of view (register with the municipality?, the embassy?,..???), banking level and then professional also knowing that I don't speak editor's note :/! And then why not meet some French-speaking expats, so as not to go crazy speaking French only to my cat ;) Thank you for your advice and good luck to you!!
