I'm a 27 year old from Louisiana, United States. I'm a former English teacher and I currently work at a public relations firm in Kebayoran Baru.
My Indo has improved significantly in the three years I've been here, but I'm not fluent yet.
Just remember to take everything in stride regarding Indonesia. It may seem backward here with backward thinking people, but it will grow on you like a fungus. Enjoy the ride!
