Hello, I am from the Lyon region and have lived on Reunion Island since 1996. I have worked in a communications agency and also for an advertiser in mass distribution. Today I am a sales agent for a high-end French eyewear brand TRACTION in the OI zone (Reunion, Mauritius, South Africa, Dubai and India). Initially, I came because Parisian life did not suit me: too polluted. I traveled the OI zone: Mayotte, Mauritius, Madagascar, Reunion up and down. And I decided to stay. Today, Reunion is a bit of an economic disaster. This is why I sought to distribute a brand unknown to the Indian Ocean market outside of Reunion as well. Here we live close to nature. She is everywhere. With the climate, we live outside all the time. There are also temperate zones on the island: in the highlands (Plaine des Cafres, Plaine des Palmistes, La Petite France). And if we get rain, there is always a place on the island where it is sunny. Except of course in the event of a cyclone alert where the weather can really go haywire. But cyclones are extremely well managed by local authorities. The population is mixed, not to say mixed and this is what strikes you first when you arrive on the island: all these mixtures (Kaffirs, Malbars, Chinese, Indo Pakistanis, M茅tis, Creole, Comorians, Malagasy, Metropolitans) coexist in a harmonious way.
