I come from France and have lived in Quebec for 28 years, I like it now, it wasn't always easy, it took me 5 years to adapt, but I wouldn't go back to France, I started a new life and we are good compared to France or elsewhere, nothing is perfect of course and perfect doesn't exist, right!! Quebec is a place to discover its large expanses, its straight roads and 3 lanes!!! But speed limit 100km/h otherwise beware of the police it is very expensive with demerit points which are reflected on the driving license and your registration plates its two ditto payable each year. The hikes are magnificent, especially in the fall, it鈥檚 magical! The parks protect with its wild animals and the mountain ranges offer breathtaking views! And in winter if you like skiing, snowshoes, ice skates etc.... And oops the cold!!!! -20 and sometimes more especially when the wind gets involved but that doesn't. Lasts only a few days and repeats throughout the rest of the winter, especially February. Oh yes! I almost forgot about fishing, moose hunting, deer hunting, etc....
