About
I am currently here in Paris for 5 months to study French Civilisation and Language at the Sorbonne. My classes commence on the 11th October. If anyone would like to meet over a cup of coffee or a meal to share their experiences as an expat in France, I will welcome it. I am a naturalised Australian from South Africa. I have been traveling to France to participate in the Marathon du Medoc in Bordeaux and the Marseilles-Cassis half marathon since 2006 and in the process have become addicted to France, its people, cuisine and culture. I also spend 2 weeks in Sarlat and around the Dordogne each year. These experiences have resulted in a strong desire to live in France permanently and considering that I am a young, active and adventurous 54 years old with no ties here in Australia, I would welcome any wisdom and suggestions anyone has to share to assist me in finding the "how" of bringing my desire to fruition. I am a TESOL certified teacher and have been working in Admin and Finance for many years. I have a son who lives in Germany with his young family and a life in France will enable me to be a part of their lives on a regular basis.
