Hello everyone ! Let me introduce myself, my name is Charline, I am 25 years old. After weeks and weeks of reflection, my boyfriend and I decided to come and live in Guadeloupe. So, in order not to rush off and prepare ourselves in the best possible conditions, we decided to come within a year or a year and a half, when I have finished my live-in nanny contract with the family where I am currently. This gives us time to find out more and leave in the best conditions. I must have already heard about 10,000 times "oh luck, you're going to live under the coconut trees and the sun!!" Or 鈥渙h the dream of life in a postcard鈥�. Yes, of course it's not the Russian climate, as you can imagine :-). But apart from that we want to move to Guadeloupe to change our lifestyle, discover another way of living and a culture different from that of the mainland. We're not looking for relaxation on the white sand (once in a while it would be a shame not to enjoy it ;-)) We don't have any children (that is, Harry, a 1.5 year old Labrador of his condition!), we are not owners and we have no ties in mainland France. This is why we want to try the adventure now and not in ten years. Turning our lives upside down is one thing, dragging children into something that could go wrong is another I think! So I'm calling on you expats who have tried the adventure! 1001 questions arise: work housing daily life etc etc I don't really know where to start actually! Yes, that鈥檚 why we鈥檙e doing it now lol. I would like to be able to discuss with you your opinions etc etc to know almost everything :-). Thank you in advance for your answers!
