About

Hello! My family and I are considering moving to Gent, we were on vacation in January and we loved the city. My husband and daughter are European, I am Panamanian. Neither I nor our daughter speaks Dutch. Has anyone on the forum moved to Gent with children? Has it been difficult for the children to learn the language? Our daughter speaks Spanish and English. What about opportunities to open businesses? I appreciate the answers.....

My expat journey

Ghent, Belgium

Ghent, Belgium

We wish to establish our residence there and start a business.
I am a lawyer by profession.
Gent is a dream city, beautiful, clean and orderly; very similar to Holland, but much less expensive. My husband speaks Dutch, French and English, also some German; I speak Spanish to English.
There is nothing that I didn't like.
