Dear friends,

I have been offered a job in Ulaanbaatar. Salary is around $ 1500 + accommodation + food. I will be travelling with my wife. Please advice is this salary enough to live a decent family life in Ulaanbaatar. Kindly reply on chanchalkumar7[at]gmail.com

Unless you buy expensive things and living in a expensive apartment, that amount of money is totally enough for living in a Ulaanbaatar city.

I read about mongolians earning $150 per month in UB. I don't think you'll have trouble for summer vacations and skiing trips with that salary.

Yes, that is true. if you plan not to buy expensive things, the salary is absolutely enough to live in UB.

You will have no problems about accomodation and food. Then what would be problem?

If the salary is good for you, I think you should come in Mongolia to save some money and gain your expat experience.
