Okieboy,聽 Are you saying these places are being rented out for $97 USD a month? What sort of conditions are we talking about? Ive been wanting to leave the US to live a more modest life in the philippines but I only have a monthly budget of $1500 USD a month. Im told getting a job in the philippines is not the easiest of things so I can rely on that. I also have significant savings but would rather have that for emergency. In your opinion how well can I live of the $1500 a month?

these are new聽 house paved streets water and聽 electric, sewer already there, they are聽 close together but聽 nice聽 small 2 bed 1 bath P4,000 but聽 you can find聽 cheaper if聽 your聽 looking for an apartment, you can live聽 good聽 on $1500 in Davao i live聽 in the聽 Provience about 25K i have聽 a聽 budget of $1,000 i have聽 Air聽 Cond, Internet Phone, the聽 food聽 is聽 cheap if聽 you eat聽 local, it聽 depends聽 on your聽 life style, i tell those who ask about cost聽 of聽 living, if聽 you can live聽 on your聽 income聽 in your聽 country you can live聽 here better

Thanks for the help. I keep telling everyone Ill have about $1500 but Im looking at closer to a $2000 budget to be safe. Sounds like I need to check out Davao in the comming months.
