I booked a hotel thru agoda but owner canceled in last minutes. How to book a hotel (long term/short term) without being scammed (some of them even asked me to pay 1st), ty

If you didnt pay yet its not a scam. Hotels in Vietnam always prioritize customers that pay first over these 3rd party booking sites.

The hotel is in V农ng T脿u?

Are you trying to book on the weekend?

Demand is usually super high Friday to Sunday and on holidays in V农ng T脿u.

You may need to try some of the smaller hotels located away from the beach or arrive Sunday night or afterwards. In contrast, the weekdays are usually pretty quiet.

Do not select "Book without credit card". All other options require your submitting your credit card details (to Agoda, not the hotel). This way your booking is guaranteed by Agoda.
