Thanks for you're reply but I was thinking just local movers on the island..I'll be using U-Pack they have a Terminal here in the Bay Area as well as in PR..I may just need movers to unload the relo cubes once the relo cube gets to the house..U-Pack will only deliver the
Relo cubes but have no movers to unload it into the house..have some big heavy furniture

Since the pod is being delivered to your place, I would contract a local crew, maybe four people to just unload and place the pieces in place and unpack some of the boxes. After that they will come and remove the pod. Neighbors can likely tell you who to hire, or classificados like Adlin said or the newspapers (mudanza, mudanzeros).

I believe you have 72 hours with the pod, so contract the movers for the day after the pod arrives that still gives you 48 hours to empty it.
I say next day because you do not have a fix time for the pod to arrive and you don't want to pay for the crew to sit on their hands waiting for the pod to arrive.

If things have to be put together make sure you have the correct tools to do the job, nothing flimsy that is going to strip the screws. A rubber mallet, a socket set and a set of screw drivers are good to have.

Also, if you decided to go with locals, make sure you get a quote for the jod, not by the hrs. Usually the current cost of a helper by the day in no more than $60. That's what I usually pay for a days work around my house in SG.

When we moved to Alaska, we had a huge trailer to unload up to a second floor house.聽 聽I needed help as the stuff was too much for just myself.聽 聽 I contacted the high school, talked to the football coach and offered to make a contribution to the team for their help.

The聽 team showed up and in a few hours, the trailer was empty and the house was full!聽 聽 Everyone was happy.聽 聽
