Netherlands plug sockets

Hi everyone

Going to The Netherlands from UK for an extended stay. Need to choose plug adaptors so I can used my usual 3 pin electrical gear over there with no problem.

Trouble is…I read there are two types of socket and various type of plug.

Can anyone give me a link to come sort of universal thing I can buy on Amazon or eBay that I can take with me to be sure I won't hit any problems there?

Many thanks. All suggestions gratefully received from this newbie traveller.  :top:

Depends; there are sockets with an earth and sockets without an earth - this explains the 2 different systems in common use in Holland.

Just buy a world travel adapter. I bought one and can use it anywhere in the world.

Thanks Cynic - will that fit into all types of Netherlands electrical socket?
All modern ones yeah - some of the old houses have a really weird earth socket that has a central pin, but I haven't seen one for years.

Take a UK extension lead with several sockets, but change the plug to a Euro one.
Job done.

If you need several, take them.

I'm sure my links would be of use, as they turn into German Ebay/Amazon sites But something like this will work

You can always go to Boots, Dixons or a travel shop, they all sell them as well.

Also if you come across a problem for whatever reason when in Holland, you can always buy an adapter there too.

Freds idea is perfect. but if you are wanting to use items in many rooms you can get But that might be OTT.

Yes, and it isn't too expensive. It has the added advantage of working with Euro, many south east Asian, and Chinese plugs.
As a 'just in case' note - it won't work with a lot of US equipment because they use a silly voltage most of the rest of the world rejected as a rubbish idea years ago.
