Need so much help, not sure where to start

So my partner and I have been desperate to get to France so we can see each other (of course) but to help me recover from Cancer and so my 18 year old daughter doesn鈥檛 have to keep her life on hold anymore but we knock one problem down and another shows up.

My doctors won鈥檛 release more than a week of my pain medication because I take high dose opioids and I suffer with to much pain to get up and leave without them and I have no idea how hard it will be to get a doctor and get my prescription, I can鈥檛 afford to just go back and forth oh and I am way to weak.

I would appreciate any ideas or names of doctors or absolutely any help, we are looking at places near Disneyland because we could use some happiness but I thought finding an English speaking doctor might be easier in Paris.

also looking for a 3 month rental out near Disney as well

You won't be on French health until you get on the plan, and you can't apply until you've been a resident at least three months. So you will need insurance to cover your prescriptions for a while. They are likely to be cheaper here anyway. Whether or not a French doctor will give you the same prescription is another matter.

There are English speaking doctors in many places in France. The US consulate or embassy might be able to provide a list for your area.

I have lived in France for the past 6 years. My daughter came over with her children for a holiday and needed some antibiotics for my grandaughter. At that time I did not have a Dr here however the Dr in the village spoke English and had no issue prescribing my grandaughter antibiotics. My daughter had the medication name but no prescription. The Dr was happy to write a script for her no charge. Obviously when getting the tablets we had to pay a little but only a few euro. I am sure you will not have any problems especially if you already have a script also cancer, heart and other incurable conditions are free in France for residents anyway.

You can look for English speaking doctors on Doctolib (online or via the app) . I recommend finding both a general practitioner and the specialists that you require. You can also look at the American Hospital in Paris. They have a wide range of specialties and their website is in English. 聽 Wishing you all the best with your move.
