I am kev and being Ex Royal Navy have visited Gib many times. My wife and I are both retired and would like to live somewhere with a Hot climate. We are not a straightforward retired couple as we are guardian to our 8 year old grandaughter so we have to consider her education. would Gib offer us the chance to move and still be able to ensure our granddaughter received her education?
I have a naval pension and a private pension i have 2 years before i receive my state pension. I would consider renting my home in the uk rent approx 拢2000 pm which i believe would cover rent in Gib. Dose it sound fesable for me to make the move any thoughts welcome - @kevincattermole61

Yes, 拢2000 should be enough, but don't expect anything to be plush as you can get a deluxe studio for 拢1,350 pcm. You won't be able to have a 3-bedroom property, which limits your ability to have guests.

If you're accustomed to London, Gibraltar may feel affordable; however, if you're from a more affordable UK region, housing costs will likely come as a shock. Nevertheless, overall living expenses, especially for goods, are generally lower due to no VAT.
