I am new here.

We (my husband, our son and me) live in England. We moved to England from another country 10 years ago. We work in England full time and we would like to move to Gibraltar around Sept 2014. We would like another baby and we thought until I am on maternity leave we try our life in Gibraltar. My husband works from home, so he can keep his job. I am an accountant and I need to find a job in Gibraltar after my maternity leave finished (around June 2015).

My question is that until I am on maternity leave we will have around 拢1900.00 for a month to leave in. Probably we would like to leave in Spain close to the border, so after I found work I will be able to go to work to Gibraltar and live in Spain. We would like to rent a house with 3 bedrooms and a garden for the kids. Also we need a very fast internet (for my husband job) and we go out for dinner, cinema, etc.. twice a month. We do not have a car and I think we do not need if we can find a place very close to the border. (How good is the transport system in Spain?) Do you think can we live from 拢1900.00 per month or it is not enough money?

My son is 5; he will be 6 by the time we will arrive. I am interested about his school possibility. He speaks English, but I do not want him to forget it, so either a Spanish primary school when he can learn English or a Gibraltarian primary school would be good for him. I think until I am on maternity leave he needs to go to a Spanish school, but if I get a job in Gibraltar and live in Spain is he entitled to a free Gibraltarian primary school? Also does Gibraltar or Spain have nursery for 1 year old children? Is it free? If not could you tell me how much is it roughly per a day?

I need some information about the health care. If only I work in Gibraltar (my husband work for an English company) will we get free health care in Gibraltar (all of us) if we live in Spain?

My last question is about the work. I am an accountant, I finished my AAT in England and I have an accounting degree back from my original country. I am not a manager, but I have 8 years accounting experience in a multinational road maintenance company. I do not have a British passport, but I have an EU passport. Any opinion about how much chance I have to find a work in Gibraltar? Is there any demand for accountants? Also how long does it take to get through the border every morning and afternoon?
