I am also new to the area and I would appreciate Some help to get my codice fiscali.聽 Then I would like to find an apartment near the Centro area.聽 Also, Does anyone know if it is possible to apply for my elective residence visa here in Italy, rather than having to return to the US?

You must apply for and obtain聽 an elective residency visa before leaving your home country.聽 聽For a codice fiscale visit the nearest Agenzie dell'Entrate (tax office), with photocopies of your passport, passport and the completed A8 module which you can download from the website of the tax agency.
