Ways to Obtain Latvian Citizenship

By Descent:

This is a common route for those with Latvian ancestors who were citizens on June 17, 1940, or have a parent who was a citizen of Latvia.

By Naturalisation:

1. Permanent Residence: You must have been a permanent resident for at least five years.
