Starting with a good lawyer is probably the best option, as not only can they tell you above everything in your list, they can do it for you too :-) Would you be doing the D7 route?

Why employ a lawyer that costs money, when you can do it yourself for free?

@SimCityATToday Everything has their purposes, so for some the saving is worth it, and for others, the security of help with a good lawyer or relocation agent has great value too. I'm sure you're away of the AIMA difficulties, and how immigration law is changing. Personally for us, immigration to where you want to move to, live permanently, is one of those things where we'd do all we can not to risk it, not to make a mistake. No lawyer is perfect, but naturally a well recommended lawyer will have useful things to share vs Google searches on immigration laws which are often changing (especially with the change in government, golden visa rules, NHR, etc.)

The OP was asking where can they get the right information, so if you can share the guides where they can do it all themselves in a straight forward manner, and as you say save money, I'm sure they would greatly appreciate it too.

I'm a British and ever since the UK  left the EU I don't know anyone that has wasted money on a lawyer.

And you certainly don't have to tell me what to do or how the site works!

Hi and Welcome,

The visa type, which has often been discussed on here, is reasonably straight forward as there's probably only a couple you could choose from depending on your circumstances - they do change and there are some anomalies but most of the stuff on here is up to date.  Properties - if you are living in the UK then the best thing do is come over here and spend as much time as possible in different places and looking at properties. Two searchable interweb sites with properties listed   OLX pt and Idealista pt  will give you some idea of what MAY be available and where but these is no substitute for you seeing the places yourself, local estate agents will assist you but you need to go into their offices and talk to them, they can explain how the system works (getting TaxCode/NIF and bank account) and (in my case) point out the tax office at the end of the road. Visit as many local estate agents as possible in your chosen area and as many properties as possible, you'll find that the building techniques and materials are NOT the same as the UK nor is there an accurate web based list of recently sold house prices so very difficult to just search interweb and do comparisons. Property prices are generally cheaper than UK but things like mains gas, central heating, roof insulation and cavity walls are uncommon. Also stuff like transport links, hospitals, water, wild fires etc. may need to be considered.  I'd only suggest a Lawyer for the final bits of property purchace and than find one who is local to the area you are looking to buy as there can be unexplained differences in local administrations. Even stuff like getting copies of "land registry listings" of properties don't need an lawyer but can be done yourself or by Local estate agents.
