Its actually very easy to get a second hand car in Sweden, if you have a swedish driving license. It hardly takes 5 mins to get the transaction done.

But what comes next is you have to be really careful about as well.

1. Make sure you don't misplace your registration papers. If anyone else have them they can misuse your papers and sell the car.
2. Make sure you don't miss paying the yearly tax, congestion tax/toll tax and insurance bills. Newbies have to pay more on insurance.
3. Check your inspection dates for car, make sure you take the car for servicing and get the "kontrol" checks done in time.

For car dealers, I would suggest to go to Riddermark Bil. It's quite big chain for buy/selling second hand cars. They have a comprehensive checklist and some warranties also. You can filter out cars of your choice from their website. Bargaining can be done also but only if you buy on the spot.
