Driving from Amman to Irbil

hello there, i want to ask you guys how can i drive from Amman (Jordan) to Irbil, or Mosul,then to continue my way and to go in turkey...
(in January 2013)

all what i want to know is:

is Iraq safe to get in?
and drive with hours?
how much is the gasoline?

and another think: if i wanna go direct to mosul or irbil, do i have to enter baghdad or there is another transit way?

I dont advise you to come through Mosul city... anyway you should apply for Iraqi Visa at Iraqi Embassy before you come, cuz Iraq is not Kurdistan . rules are different .
oh actually you must come through Anbar City which is bad Idea.
if u got a car you can load it with ships directly from Aqabba harbor to Adana port or Antalya .
