Work Gap not accepted by Saudi Council

Work Gap can be a big defect when applying for Registration of License for saudi council? Is there any remedy for that? I have complete documents, coe dataflow, prometric and PRC Licenses done with dataflow. But the problem was i have 3 years Gap before coming to Saudi. Now, im worked 6 years straight since 2013. 6 years work experience in the field of laboratory science was still not accepted? Hope you can give some advise. Thanks..

Hi, I am a newly hired nurse hire in Riyadh,arrived last January. I was not aware that my work gap will be a problem in taking the prometric exam here in KSA. What should I do,my employer was definitely aware of that matter. But they still hired me and given me the visa. Is it true that I will not be permitted to take SNLE if I have 2years work gap or it will be the Saudi council鈥檚 decision? I hope to get some good advice from you. Thank you very much

I think it will be depend on the SCFHS decision. You've done your part by giving all the requirements needed to take prometric exam.

as far as i know you can only work here in ksa within 3 months without saudi license. Giving you an ample time to prepare all the necessary requirements.

Hi MarAnthony,

Is that mean that it is allowed to be hired and deployed in KSA even without the dataflow and prometric exam yet? and then settle those things upon arrival in KSA? Thanks

I got my saudi council license even if i had a work gap of 2 years. As long as you have an employment certificate that show 3 years experience it's not a problem.聽 It is your hospital/employer who is going to decide if they will accept your work gap.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I am in this same situation. I have an almost 4 year gap from steady employment,聽 3 years from locum. This gap is due to having children and I am trying to apply for classification, first I need a new study qualification. I applied for that 3 months ago, still pending. Then I thought I needed training of 3 months due to the gap聽 but I spoke to someone at Saudi council and they said that this is only for Saudis and if I need training I need to exit the country, trading elsewhere and return. Not likely with a husband and 2 kids here.
Does anyone know if this is true about the training? This is only for Saudis? And will a hospital accept me without training if they wish?聽 I know there is a massive shortage in my field here. I was really hoping they would do as they do from outside the country and accept you without the scfhs registration and then apply once you are employed.
Does anyone know if applying directly to the hospital, approaching HR for example, is likely to be more fruitful?

That's true. If you need to gain experience you need to gain it on your origin country. They're only accepting trainees for saudi only.

Thank you for your reply maranthony. Well! That puts a massive spanner in the works. Seems like people are forced into becoming teachers of English here because it's so darn difficult to get into the profession you trained and worked so hard in for several years.
Sorry. Feeling very frustrated right now.

i have an old expired saudi council technician registration. do i need to pay first the expired registration or directly i will go to re classification because i took specialist exam and passed.i want to re classify and register as specialist now.

what will i do. i jave also 11 months work gap.

I started my application for Saudi council last week and after 2working days they notified me regarding a missing document. They are asking for working certificate for my 2year work gap, according to them I need to provide at least 1 year of latest experience in order to proceed with the application,they are giving me 30days to provide it or else my application will be cancelled (which I paid for 200sr).I did not see any box to where I could explain my work gap. The hospital鈥檚 Saudi council officer told me to go to Saudi Council office to ask for a consideration. How did you do it? Can you give me some advice for them to consider my application? Thank you very much.

Yes,they said you cannot use your experience here in Saudi for application to SCFHS. So,we will be sent back home and do at least 1 year experience.

If you have required CME hours then you can renew your license. If not, it will be a different matters.

Good day! Im a bit confused with regards to the working gap rules of Saudi council. I have 10 months of ongoing working gap and turning 1 year on Dec 30. Is it true that once I didn鈥檛 accomplish everything like requirements and exam on the said date I will be deported back to the Ph? And when I verified it to my agency they said that my employer and saudi council accepted until 2 years working gap. On the other hand, one of my friend who is in saudi as an HR in the hospital that I will be working for said that I need to go at Saudi before Dec 30 or else I will be deported. Im confused right now what to do. Could someone help or give me advice in this matter. Thank you!

I have no idea on this issue. It's possible you might get deported if the MOH visit your hospital if you don't have Saudi license

Asalamualaikum..i am a dentist.i heard that the saudi council is accepting only the ones who has got recent atleast one year of experience which is not more than 3 month old..is it true?i聽 do have experience of 2 yrs after which i had to take gap due to some problem and then i did 4 months parctise then again gap and then 4 months prctise.. and now i applied for data
flow..will they accept my experience certificate?

I have more than 2 years gap 鈥� and still have valid saudi council but it will also soon be expired, did they allow u to renew ur saudi council? I have 6 years experience from ksa before that 2 years gap
