Getting Medicines in Toronto

Hello. Let me introduce myself. I am Canadian. I live in Toronto from 1985 to 1996. I left Toronto in 1996 for Asia. I might return to Toronto later this year.


I am curious about buying medicines. I have two pills which I take regularly. They help me with sleeping. In where I am right now, I don't need a doctor's prescription to buy them, though legally/technically I am not really sure.


I don't know when I will be eligible for OHIP when I arrive in Toronto.


Do I need a doctor's prescription to buy these two pills? Is it possible to get them without doctor's prescription.


Once I have the prescription, can I use that buy meds repeatedly with the same prescription?
