Hi,I'm very interested in Paraguayan permanent residency, but due to recent changes in their immigration policies I'm considering going the SAUCE route. I just need some more information before proceeding with this move.Although I do have a property in Europe, I currently don't have enough liquid capital to apply through SAUCE. However, I've been told by someone who knows local realities that it could be enough to only form a company in Paraguay together with a sound business plan in order to qualify for permanent residency under the new rules.If this is indeed true, are there any strings attached to this e.g., what would have happened if the business didn't work out as planned or for some other reason I couldn't stay in Paraguay and would need to dissolve the company? Would there be any penalties, could the residency get revoked etc.?Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Divakar Puri - @puri.divakar77

Yes, that is correct. We could pursue permanent residency through the SUACE system (Investor Pass) by preparing and submitting a business plan that includes various investment alternatives. We work with several business sectors and investment structures, including financial investments through banking institutions and other investment vehicles that may be incorporated into the project and presented to the relevant authorities.

It is also generally understood that once the company has been established and permanent residency has been successfully granted, should you decide not to proceed with the business activity or if the project is ultimately not carried forward, the company may be dissolved or cease operations while maintaining the permanent residency already obtained.

Naturally, throughout the application process, all documentation, investment proposals, and business plans must be genuine, properly documented, and submitted in good faith, as the authorities may conduct verifications during the review of the application.
