Background Check With DUI

I am planning on applying for a Rentista Visa in Peru.聽 However, 3 years ago I was arrested for a DWI.聽 I am wondering, does anyone know if this is going to be a problem when they request the background check?聽 I don't want to go through the process and get denied.聽 Thank You so Much.聽 Plus, is there a interview you have to go through in this process.聽 Not that it matters, but I was a Police Officer for nearly 24 years and was going through a rough time 3 years ago.聽 I have been law abiding my whole life arresting bad guys!!!聽 Thank You.
