Visa refusal for having served prison ?

Hi,

I am French, and especially talking for a friend of mine.

I read that it was quite easy to get a visa pour Suriname and Cambodia, but there is one thing that might stop that friend of mine. Don't try to read too much in my question (or do, I don't mind though won't elaborate), but is having served prison for a crime an obstacle ?聽 Are they gonna refuse just for that, even after many years ?

Who must I contact to know for sure ?

The best way to obtain a definitive answer is to contact the embassy or consulate of the country where your friend intends to apply, or the country's official immigration authorities.
