About

Hello, My name is Eggy I am an american born in New York city currently living in Puerto Rico. I am the proprietor of the Green Gorilla Grill Sandwich Shoppe. We specialize in sandwiches from different regions of the US with such specialties as Philadelphia Cheessteak, New Orleans 'Po Boys and Miami Cuban sandwiches just to name a few. Although Puerto Rico is an american commonwealth and it's citizens are americans the american food culture is not prevelant. That is why we chose regional sandwiches as our business model. To our great surprise and good fortune there are enough American ex-pats on the island for us to be profitable. As a business we are at the point that we would like to explore the possibility to expand and we are looking to cities such as Medellin, Cartagena, or Bogota to see if they may be a vialble option for future expansion. To this end we are looking to this blog to see if we can obtain some feedback.
Interests: sports, politics, reading, , cooking

Cidra, Puerto Rico

Since Mar 2010

Cidra, Puerto Rico

Create a great sandwich shop for ex-pats to enjoy all their regional favorites from the states. For example Philly Cheeseteaks, New York Italian Sausage, New Orleans 'Po boys, Pittsburgh Roast Beef sandwiches and many more. Home made american comfort foods such as Meatloaf and Mac&Cheese. Great deep frid favorites such as fried Snickers chocolate bars and fried Oreo cookies.

Not really much that I like about Puerto Rico except maybe the weather and that's not even all that great since it rains too much here in Cidra.
Basically everything. The economy is terrible, prices are skyhigh the people are rude, there is no concept of customer service, there is no reliable public transportation to speak of. The roads are terrible, the police is inept, government services are antiquated, no cultural events outside of San Juan. I could go on and on ad infinitum.

Wellington is a great place to raise a family. decent transportation, state of the art libraries, decent nightlife, beutiful beaches, decent restaurants. Overall great place to be. Lots of police prescence that can sometimes feel overbearing. Very progressive very very clean.

Miami, USA

Jul 2006 - Sept 2008

Miami, USA

Worked as a waiter at the News Caf茅.

Miami Beach is awsome. Very cosmopolitan just like my hometown New York City but without the attitude. Miami beach is a 24/7 365 city. Great public transportation, great museums vibrant arts scene, state of the art libraries, awesome nightlife, beutiful beaches, great restaurants. Overall great place to be.

Kennesaw, Ga, USA

Feb 2001 - Jul 2006

Kennesaw, Ga, USA

Worked for a shipping company.
Brand manager.
I loved the weather in Ga not too cold and only a few weeks of very hot temperatures in the summer.Other than that it was just ok.
No public transportation to speak of. Not a walkable city if you don't have a car your basically screwd.
