My expat journey

Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada
Change of life once again, return to a calmer life professionally, thanks to Covid for having turned everything upside down, we will adapt, but isn't that the key word when we emigrate??
Writing, photography, various projects, and above all managing to release my 2nd, then 3rd and more, book, finally! ...and travel more as soon as possible...
in general in Canada: always lovely people, open-mindedness, politeness, customer service (it seems trivial but it's impressive here, compared to.....), the four seasons, the blue sky even in the middle of winter, winter sports landscape even in the city....
in general in Canada: the food is not always that but when you look carefully you find, definitely too "big" a country, it takes days to cross it which limits our desire to explore it, "political correctness" everywhere, no waves in the discussions, moreover when two French people talk to each other the Canadians present think they are arguing!

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Cuisine, photography, discovering this fantastic city...
Home chef, caterer, food entrepreneur, conferences on the history of cooking
The lake... The multiple cultures that coexist there in harmony and the languages that go with it (more than 120)... The restaurants of all kinds... The museums perhaps not numerous but all remarkable and the remarkably maintained historic houses... The University of Toronto... The Toronto Reference Library where I could stay for hours... The kindness of the people despite the big city... A city truly worth discovering...
The transport system that makes you miss the Paris metro... Construction everywhere... A huge city that is difficult to navigate (7 times the size of Paris)...

Louisbourg, Nova Scotia, Canada
Consultant for Parks Canada, cooking workshops, photo shoot for my book
everything, the people, the landscapes, the wild nature, a feeling of being at the end of the line!
nothing, I like everything about Cape Breton, a real favorite for this corner of Canada

Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada
I come back often because I have my house and lots of friends there.
Chef-caterer, Chef-pastry chef-Chocolate maker, Cooking classes, Consultant in historical cuisine for Parks Canada (at the Fortress of Louisbourg in Nova Scotia)... Writing a book
The incomparable welcome of the Acadians... An environment that is both calm and very lively... The Acadian joie de vivre and artists everywhere... A tight-knit community... Breathtaking landscapes... The ocean not far away...
Too many Tim Hortons!!! The record certainly in Canada... Not enough films in French despite the French-speaking region... More seriously, difficulty finding a well-paid job if you don't have a very very specialized and sought-after specialty...

Paris, France
Come back on vacation to finally enjoy this magnificent city: walks, exhibitions, cinema...
Entrepreneur, Teacher, Saleswoman, Investigator, Caterer, etc etc........
Paris will always be Paris...
Parisians will always be Parisians.
