I have lived in the United States for 22 years. I arrived there as a student and stayed there as a teacher. My teaching career is very unusual but very rewarding. The United States is a country full of contradictions but fascinating. Like any country, there are pros and cons, but for those who want to work hard, there are plenty of opportunities. I find that, mentally, I am now more American than Belgian.
