My expat journey

Cachan, 脦le-de-France, France
Postgraduate university studies at the Sorbonne Paris 5 and Paris 3, then at Nanterre.
Responsible for cultural, union and external affairs at the Maison du Maroc of the Cit茅 Internationale Universitaire de Paris.
Professor of modern literature/FLE at National Education (Rectorates of Versailles and Cr茅teil) until 2007.
Professor of FLE at the IUT of Cachan, University of Paris-Sud 11
2007-2014: Professor of French, head of cultural affairs, educational coordinator and head of external affairs of the French and translation section at the University of Nizwa in the Sultanate of Oman.
2015-2017: educational director at GSIM Tangier Morocco.
During all these years of expatriation, what I loved were the different challenging projects and the sometimes complicated missions that I succeeded with self-sacrifice, patience and courage.
What I like least about all these experiences is the feeling of jealousy of the quality of my work and my successes that a certain number of careerists and careerists give to my colleagues.

Tanger-Assilah, Tanger-T茅touan, Morocco
The educational and administrative direction of a bilingual school group
What I appreciated was working with dedication with colleagues and an educational community who were very demanding of a new way of managing daily life, welcoming and listening to resolve the pedagogical and educational problems linked to a significant gap between the diversity of needs and the offer.
I enjoyed working alongside my little family;
The rare places of culture, tea rooms and restaurants;
The city of Tangier is inspiring for writing and projects.
What I like least:
- hearsay, gossip and rumors that are spread at work and which can destroy an entire reputation;
- endless days that can last beyond working hours;
- On weekends, the city center is the favorite destination for dangerous drivers, street children, touts and unconscious partygoers.
- The smell of sewers sometimes makes life difficult even in new homes!

-Responsible for external relations of the French & translation section and France
I loved the respectful culture of the Omanis towards foreign teachers, the quality of life, the tolerance and the beautiful landscapes of a vast and safe country. I made colleagues and friends of several nationalities and I have kept around ten until now.
I especially loved my family life, our daily life and the beautiful escapes, in the heights of the dunes and mountains, in Muscat, the Wahiba desert and our vacations in the United Arab Emirates, without forgetting my excursions with French friends...
The summer period of high heat and humidity. Sometimes it's asphyxiating!
