As a child Protection Supervisor in Tdh (Child protection project in Mansehra Pakistan) from 1st December 2006 to till 31July 2009 MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Works directly in the field with children, child protection animators and child protection monitors in the communities is supervising in order to insure appropriate protection and psychological response to the needs of the most vulnerable children • Collecting information regarding the overall situations in the child protection centers • Inform the project manager about any difficulty that are face to animators about Tdh activity implementation • Ensures a strict adherence to the international child rights policy at all times including respect for confidentiality and child centered approach, acts in the best interests of the child and the family. • Responsible for the overall administrative and general supervision of the child protection centers that is put under his responsibility • Responsible for the supervision and management of the child protection animators and child protection monitors in each center. This includes: • Ensuring that all staff (animators fulfill their duties.) • Ensure centers standards or adhered to the safety of the children, child animator ratio children registration, activity schedule, child participation, good practices with children. • Facilitating and overseeing the animators as they take more responsibility for these administrative roles. • Monitor the quality of activities conducted for the children in the centers, using the training provided by activity specialist to ensure technical quality. • Provide guidance to the animators, design with the animators the weekly activity schedule for children and ensure that the schedule is in accordance with the present needs of the children from different age groups. • Identification of materials needs and supervision and inventory of play equipment and other materials. • Identification of staff needs in terms of training and support in the execution of their duties in close collaboration with other protection staff and activity specialists. • Facilitate the organization of training under taken by Tdh staff. As a Child Protection Monitor (Field Officer) with TDH at its Mansehra (Pakistan) Office from January 9th till November 30, 2006. Support to the Most Vulnerable Children and Family. • Through monitoring at centre levels in the families in the communities identifies and follow up children and families and social need of support (psychological, health, education). • Identifies local community based services and mechanism able to offer support protection and care to the most vulnerable children and families. • Compile a directory of such services available in the community. • Identifies and proposes to the center supervisor support solutions in a variety of ways (Direct support, referral to appropriate services, and solicitation of relevant Tdh staff intervention through the center supervisor.) with specific focus on community mechanisms. Carries put follow up most vulnerable children and families ensuring and appropriate follow up system and necessary support as provided Child protection Officer (Street children project in Peshawar Pakistan) May 2003 to January 7, 2006 • Social organization, mobilization and broad based meeting with the community in order to aware them about child laboring and especially parents of Afghani children who are working in streets • Establishing schools for street children • Enrollment of street children in schools. • Meeting with the parents of street children about different diseases of children • Preventing the child labor especially Afghani children who are working in the streets • Submission weekly and monthly report to the project manager • Arranging different workshops and seminars about child rights • Coordination with other NGO,S working on child protection • Recruiting teachers for those establishing schools
