Dog - peaceful quiet region

Hi,


I am a a 55 year-old Dutchman. Since 2020 living in Serbia. Permanent visa. Living alone, since 1,5 years with a dog (12 KG,- 40 CM height). The Serbs have been very hospitable to me, I have a few great friends, but I feel I need a more favourable climate. I also lived in Spain, Montenegro and Peru so I know what it takes.


I have a pension like a passive income of about 1600 Euro so that will be enough.


I speak reasonably well French and teach languages.


Questions:


1) Are there places where my small dog will be accepted more easily?

2) What coastal areas would you recommend...I have read about Agadir, Safi, Essaouira, etc....

3) Any suggestions regarding apartment/house. Real estate agents..especially with regard to the dog.

Hello! Regarding living in Morocco, it is a great idea. As for raising a dog, that is not a problem here in Morocco. Regarding the best city, consider settling down in cities with many tourists. This way, you will find services easily, and communication will be simple, as grocers and others are experienced in dealing with foreigners. For the city, I suggest you stay in Marrakech, for example. Even though the weather is hot, it is a good starting point. After that, you can think about moving to another city. Essaouira is a small, beautiful, coastal city that you might like. Therefore, pay a visit and discover it for yourself. If you need any help, feel free to contact me. Best regards!
