Hi All,
Has anyone been asked for a residency letter for a long stay in Vietnam?
was just wondering someone mentioned it, as I will be moving to
Hoi An early next year full time

Get a new travel agent.聽 You need a visa to enter the country before he can sell you a ticket.聽 He may mean a letter for visa on arrival but if that shows his grasp of the situation, its time to find a new place to buy your ticket.

It just occured to me that some airlines will not sell you a one way ticket unless you have a Vietnamese passport or at least a 5 year VEC.聽 This may be what the agent was grasping for.
