Forming group to invest in land in South America

I live in North America. I do not have a large income so can't do much alone. I am interested in contacting all those in a similar situation. If enough people come together and purchase property, we could live in separate houses and share the proceeds of what ever we can do for an income. I have not checked out all the countries and do not know the best place to live and hope to get some feedback. I do know I don't want to live in a "new world odor" country, near volcanoes, earthquakes, or a country that does not allow one to own firearms. Personalty, I prefer rural areas but nee to be near a doctor. I currently have my medical paid for by the VA. If I leave the us, I will have to have insurance.

My experiences are that of a welder, machinist, construction, gunsmith, mechanic and hypnotherapist. I have invented a home well driller that is ten times as good as the deeprock (copyright). I could sell those.

If we bought some farm land, we could grow most of our food, grow animals, and whatever else it takes to spend less money. If some of you are interested and have skills and /or money to share, let's talk. Sound like fun? Let's do it! I will have to sell everything I own and fly to whatever location because it cost too much to ship unless.....others want to help with that....I do have tools. rayblank2002@yahoo.com

Great idea, I was in South America recently with the same intention. I have also been聽 researching this for many years and have also considered multiple scenarios from economic to earth changes.. I spent a good portion of my time in the amazon but find the climate too muggy and the vista too flat. So I am going back to look at more mountainous areas. Some of the prices for acerage are聽聽 Very cheap, possibly about 15,000 dollars for聽 ten to fiveteen even acres plus of good farmland do some woofing at established farms to learn a little bit about permanent culture ect. After my original post, I moved to Alaska. I am not sure that was a good move or not. There is a lot of land vs people here but -40 is not all that pleasant. We have plenty of mosquitoes here but no plagues as in S America. There is a guy trying to convince me to go to Ecuador. Gun laws are rather strict there as well as most of S America and Central America. If I am going to move, I don't want to move into another area worse than where I now live.

I need to be able to hunt, fish, farm and be accepted by the locals. I was raised in Texas and hated the muggy weather. I also have a conviction (30 years old) that may be a problem. I can't own firearms here and don't know if I can in other countries. I don't really want to hunt but if my life depends on it, I would like to have the option without breaking any laws.

I am a bit stuck here unless I come into a lot of money. I just bought some property as well as a car I am making payments on. I can't walk away from those debts.....

Is there a country that sounds like I may be able to feel comfortable?
